AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie Bonds have edged higher in early SFE dealing, breaching the
SYCOM highs.
- The domestic 3-/10-Year cash yield differential has flattened back in to
~55.0bp on the latest leg higher, with the AU/U.S. 10-Year yield spread hovering
around -34bp. It is also worth noting that the AU/U.S. 30-Year yield spread has
moved into negative territory over the last couple of sessions.
- The Bill strip trades 1-2 ticks higher last, with decent activity noted in
early dealing.
- Focus today will fall on whether or not NAB follow the other big 4 banks in
raising their mortgage rates, the Australian Office of Financial Management
(AOFM) will sell A$1.0bn of the 2.50% 21 May 2030 Bond, issue #TB155 & AU
housing finance data is also due.
