AUSSIE-YEN: A quiet start to the new trading day for the risk-barometer cross,
the rate holding a narrow Y88.61-Y88.69 range. Up shortly, the opening of
Japanese equity markets, Nikkei futures are currently +0.15%. A little time
after, Australia's August Retail Sales and Trade Balance data provides the event
risks for the session, MNI's estimates retail sales to rise 0.2% from flat last,
and the trade balance at A$800mn, up from A$460mn in July. Hourly support is
located at Y88.33, while resistance is noted at Y88.89 (38.2% Y90.31-Y88.02
decline).
