ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY has shed 22 pips and last deals at Y77.98, as the yen sits
atop the G10 pile, supported by modest risk-off flows. The Nikkei 225 started on
the front foot, but moved into negative territory, with Chinese company directed
trade war matters seemingly driving sentiment. Nikkei 225 last trades ~0.5%
lower, while U.S. equity index futures are also in the red.
- Bears look for a fall below the nearby Y77.91, which represents yesterday's
low. This would open up the 21-DMA at Y77.72. On the topside, initial focus
falls on yesterday's peak at Y78.38 and a break above would bring the Jan 15
high at Y78.52 into view.
