Australia Pacific LNG Loadings To Resume Shortly

Normal operations at the 9mtpa Australia Pacific LNG terminal will resume Friday night, after a stuck tanker was freed that hindered loadings at the terminal according to ConocoPhillips, cited by Bloomberg.

  • The Cesi Qingdao was freed on Friday morning, after it became stuck at the loading berth on Tuesday due to a power outage.
  • “ConocoPhillips is now working to return the LNG facility to normal operations which will allow cargoes to recommence loading overnight,” Origin Energy Ltd., a part owner of APLNG, said in a separate statement.
  • Disruptions resulted in three LNG vessels being deferred this week, Origin said.
