Azerbaijan’s Oil Exports Fell 3.6% on the year from Jan-Sep

Azerbaijan’s oil exports in the first nine months of 2023 fell 3.6% compared to the same period last year.

  • This was based on an announcement via twitter from Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov that the country had exported 19m mt from Jan-Sep.
  • This is down from 19.7m mt exported Jan-Sep 2022, based on archive data on the Energy Ministry’s website, Bloomberg reported.
  • Crude and condensate production combined was 22.5m mt in the first nine months of the year, down 7.8% year-on-year.
