Azerbaijan’s Oil Exports Fell, Gas Exports Rose In Jan-Nov

Azerbaijan’s oil exports in the first 11 months of this year fell by 6.6% year on year, while natural gas exports rose by 19% from a year earlier, the Energy Ministry said.

  • The country exported 24m tons of crude and condensate in Jan-Nov this year, compared with 25.7m tons in the same period last year.
  • Of the oil exported in Jan-Nov, 22.7m tons came from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz deposits in the Caspian Sea, while the remaining 1.3m tons came from Azerbaijan’s state energy company Socar.
  • Azerbaijan exported 21.1bcm of natural gas in Jan-Nov, up by 19% year on year. Exports to Europe accounted for 10.3bcm for the period this year.
