Balticconnector Leak Likely from Mechanical Force

Finnish investigators said that the leak at the Balticconnector pipeline was most likely caused by mechanical force rather than an explosion according to Bloomberg.

  • It’s too early, however, to exclude any possibility from the investigation, Risto Lohi, a detective superintendent at Finland’s National Bureau of Investigation, said.
  • The repairs of the pipeline are likely taking at least five months, with the earliest commissioning date in April, Gasgrid said earlier today.
