NORTH KOREA: BBG cites North Korean state media as noting that Pyongyang "will
shut down a liaison office it shares with South Korea by noon on Tuesday, along
with other official communication lines including a hotline between its leader
Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-In". North Korea left the first
daily liaison call from the South unanswered yesterday, inspiring speculation
that it might want to restrict bilateral communications, but answered the second
call. This comes after last week's threats from the North that they will close
the liaison office if the South fails to crack down on activists sending
anti-Pyongyang leaflets into the DPRK.
