BCRA Allows Banks to Use Swap Bonds as Reserve Requirements

ARGENTINA
  • Argentina’s central bank is allowing banks to use some bonds received from the today’s local debt swap as reserve requirements, according to a regulation approved by the institution’s board and published on its website.
  • The new rule becomes effective today which allows bonds maturing from 300 to 730 days received from swap operations to meet reserve requirements. (Bloomberg)
