Belarus Asks To Raise Druzbha Transit Fees

Belarus is asking to increase oil transit tariffs via Druzbha pipeline by 39% from 1 Jan, Igor Dyomin, spokesperson at Transneft said.

  • Belarus justified the increase in the tariff as expected cargo turnover in its pipeline system next year will significantly decline.
  • Germany and Poland are planning to halt crude oil imports via Belarus by the end of the year, leading to a decline. Poland requested Russian crude for 2023, but only to book potential transit capacity via the pipeline.
  • On Monday, Ukraine announced it will increase the Druzbha transit fee from next year.
