Bid Tops Out For Now

BUNDS

The earlier bid in EGB markets runs out of steam for now, with Bund futures failing to test early session highs.

  • Bund futures last show little changed on the day.
  • German cash benchmarks sit 0.5-2.5bp cheaper.
  • E-mini futures are higher in the wake of the cash equity open in NY, although some weakness in Nvidia means that the NASDAQ contract underperforms.
  • Comments from Nagel although a little dovish for him, were not different to the central message provided by the ECB i.e. stressing data-dependent policy moves and the need for higher for longer rates.
