Biden Asks For 3-Day Pause In Fighting; Israel Pushes Back On WH Comments

ISRAEL

Wires reporting that US President Joe Biden has called for a three-day pause in Gaza fighting, and a pause much longer than that to get hostages out. Comes amid reports of Israeli pushback on White House comments regarding humanitarian pauses. Barak Ravid at Axios posts on X: "Israeli officials say this is not new and that for several days now they announced pauses to allow people from northern Gaza to go south. • Speaking outside the White House Biden was asked by reporters 'What are the chances of a Gaza ceasefire? Biden: "None. No possibility." Any update on hostages? Biden: "We're still optimistic."
