Biden 'Favourability' Improves, Trump Falls

US

According to Real Clear Politics' Favourability Ratings President Joe Biden has tightened the gap to former President Donald Trump.

  • Last month Biden was tracked at -9.3 and Trump at -6.
  • Today Biden has strengthened to -8.5 and Trump fallen to -7.7 the closest the two have been this year.
  • The favourability of both leaders is likely to be a key theme of the midterms. Trump scored a significant victory in the Ohio Republican primary yesterday when his endorsee JD Vance won the Senate primary race comfortably.
  • Earlier this afternoon Biden directly addressed Trump's 'MAGA' movement in response to a question on Roe v Wade.
  • Biden said: 'This is about a lot more than abortion... What are the next things that are going to be attacked? Because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that's existed in American history, in recent American history.'
