• Biden will deliver the speech at the site of the world's largest wind turbine manufacturing plant in Pueblo, Colorado - the Congressional district of Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) - one of the primary targets of a White House strategy to link Republicans with an 'extreme MAGA agenda.'
• White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters yesterday: “The President will highlight how self-described MAGA Republicans, like Representative Lauren Boebert, are threatening those investments, jobs, and opportunities. Not only did they vote against the Inflation Reduction Act, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and the other historic investments, but they are trying to repeal them, which would hurt the communities they represent.”
• Jean-Pierre noted that Boebert, “has voted against creating these jobs multiple times — first voting against the Inflation Reduction Act, then to repeal the provisions spurring these investments.”
