Bill supply for W/C Feb 22, 2021: Recap

EUROZONE T-BILL ISSUANCE

Germany, France, Italy and Greece have all issued bills this week, raising E17.2bln through first rounds, down from the E19.9bln issued last week in first round operations.

  • Germany kicked off bill issuance on Monday, allotting E2.736bln of the new 12-month Feb 23, 2022 bubill. The auction was technically uncovered with an issuance volume of E4bln.
  • France also come to the market Monday, selling E5.873bln of BTFs against a target of E4.4-6.0bln: E2.596bln of the new 13-week May 27, 2021 BTF, E1.400bln of the 22-week Jul 28, 2021 BTF, E0.485bln of the 40-week Dec 1, 2021 BTF and E1.392bln of the 48-week Jan 26, 2022 BTF.
  • On Wednesday, Italy sold E6.5bln of the new 6-month BOT maturing Aug 31, 2021.
  • Also Wednesday, Greece sold E812.5mln of the new 26-week Aug 27, 2021 GTB.
