EGB SUMMARY: Both Bunds and peripheral spreads have traded in a fairly tight
range today. Bunds and spreads initially moved lower through the morning session
before moving higher ahead of the close.
- The morning saw some better than expected German trade data and French labour
market data but disappointing French IP and Italian IP and retail sales.
- Yields on Bobls hit their lowest levels since April 2017 intraday yesterday
but have managed to remain around the -0.47% level through most of the day.
- Bund 10y yields down -0.1bp today at -0.49%
- Schatz yields up 0.8bp today at -0.625%
- OAT 10y yields unch today at 0.343%
- BTP 10y yields down -0.1bp today at 2.680%
- BTP 2y yields down -0.1bp today at 0.596%
- Most other spreads are a little tighter or largely unch on the day. The
exception is Ireland where spreads are a little wider following yesterday's 30y
syndication.
- The Euribor strip is mostly unch on the day.
