With exactly one month to go until election day, the centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) have drawn level with the centre-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in the latest Kantar poll.

- All opinion polls are showing an extremely close contest for first place in the election, with the SPD and CDU either level or the leads within a +/-3% margin of error.
