  • Q: Recession indicators suggest we'll see a recession this year. Have you changed your view on what the risk to economic growth is going forward?
  • A: My own assessment is that positive growth will continue but at a subdued pace, as it did last year. Other factors need to be considered: the global picture is improving a bit and that will matter for us potentially; the labor market is very very strong; as inflation comes down, sentiment will improve; state and local gov'ts are really flush these days with money.
