China Crude Throughput at Near One-Year High

China's daily crude oil throughput rose to a one-year high in November according to National Bureau Statistics.

  • Refinery output was 59.61 million tonnes last month, equivalent to 14.505 million bpd, just off 14.512 million bpd in the same period last year which was the second-highest on record.
  • Throughput in the first 11 months of 2022 was 615.99 million tonnes, equal to about 13.46 million bpd.
  • Natural gas production rose 8.6% last month from a year ago to 18.9 billion cubic metres, an eight-month high.
  • November crude oil production gained 2.9% from the same month a year earlier to 16.78 million tonnes, or 4.08 million bpd.
