China Diesel Exports Surge in October

China’s combined exports of diesel and jet fuel in October surged to the highest since April 2021 at 2.5m tons according to Vortexa.

  • Diesel exports were at 1.66m tons and jet fuel at 870k tons
  • Vortexa suggest overall exports could climb to 3.5m-4m tons in November, based on estimates for crude processing rates last month.
  • In late September China issued new product export quotas of 13.25m tons for refined products for Q4 2022 although these could be extended to Q1 2023.
