OIL PRODUCTS

China refined product exports are nearing 90% of the current quota batch according to Kpler with no further batch expected to be announced this year.

  • Kpler forecasts that gasoil/diesel exports from China are likely to draw back below 200 kbd through November and December.
  • They rose from lows near 100 kbd (May 2023) to nearly 380 kbd in September and 360 kbd in October according to Kpler figures.
  • China will not be the same source of supply relief we saw last year, when shipments were topping out at 800 kbd to close out 2022.
