China Fin Min-We'll Extend Tariff Exemption On 79 US Items From 19 May

Chinese Finance Ministry statement has confirmed that the country will extend tariff exemptions on 79 manufactured items from the US from 19 May onwards.

  • Full statement (translated from Chinese)"With the approval of the State Council, the Tariff Commission of the State Council announced the fourth exclusion and extension list of tariffs imposed on the United States and Canada, and the State Council Tariff Commission Announcement on the Second Exclusion List of the Second Batch of Tariffs imposed on the United States and Canada (Announcement of the Tax Commission [ (2020) No. 4), the exclusion period will be extended. From May 19, 2021 to December 25, 2021, the tariffs imposed by me to counter the US 301 measures will continue to be excluded."
