China July Gasoline and Diesel Exports Up on Additional Quotas

China’s gasoline and diesel exports increase to highest level in three months according to General Administration of Customs data earlier today.

  • Refiners were allocated additional export quotas to help reduce stockpiles which have built up during covid lockdown restrictions.
  • Gasoline exports rose 21% to 880k tons in July while diesel increased 9% to 360k tons.
  • Product exports are significantly below last year’s levels as China look to limits flows to cut pollution.
