China Places Sanctions On Trump Admin Officials Inc Mike Pompeo

In the minutes following the handover of power in the United States, China has imposed sanctions on a number of Trump era officials, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

• 28 individuals listed including Peter K. Navarro, Robert C. O'Brien, David R. Stilwell, Matthew Pottinger, Alex M. Azar II, Keith J. Krach, and Kelly D. K. Craft of the Trump administration as well as John R. Bolton and Stephen K. Bannon.
• Global Times says the individuals have been sanctioned as having "...planned, promoted and executed a series of crazy moves which have gravely interfered in China's internal affairs, undermined China's interests, offended the Chinese people, and seriously disrupted China-U.S. relations."
• The sanctioned individuals and their immediate families are banned from China, Hong Kong and Macao, and any firms or institutions working with them are barred from doing business in China.
