China’s Crude Oil Imports Picked Up

China’s crude oil imports rose 22.5% from a year ago in March, according to figures released by the Beijing-based Customs General Administration.

  • China imported 52.32mn tons of crude oil in March, up from 40.74mn tons in February and up by 22.5% from a year earlier.
  • Oil product imports rose by 99.3% year on year in March to 3.89mn tons, up from 2.9mn tons in February.
