China’s Crude Production Up 1.9% Jan-Sep

China’s crude oil production in the first three quarters of 2023 rose 1.9% on the year, according to Xinhua, citing the National Bureau of Statistics.

  • China produced 156.72m mt of crude oil in the first nine months of the year.
  • September’s output was 16.87m mt, up 0.3% compared to September 2022.
  • China also imported 424.27m mt of crude Jan-Sep, up 14.6% on the year.
