CHINA: China's economy is still on the so-called L-shaped flattening curve,
unlikely to face a short-term downturn or a jump, said Peng Sen, former deputy
head of the National Development and Reform Commission and now vice chairman of
the finance committee of the National People's Congress. While the overall
economy is "stable and healthy," China needs to prevent financial risks
including excess liquidity and leverage ratios, Peng said on the opening day of
the congress in Beijing Monday.
