CHINA
CHINA: Chinese stocks are having a relatively mild session, failing to move
higher with US futures. The CSI300 trades down 0.1% at 3240, with the Nov 2
highs just below 3300 acting as resistance. The HSI continues to trade north of
26000 as early losses held this level to keep the focus higher.
- Bond yields have decoupled from equities in recent days, with the 10-year down
1bps just ahead of range lows at 3.516%. US-China yield spreads continue to hit
new highs, keeping the USDCNH bid.
- USDCNH is holding below 6.94 for now but is up on the day having triggered an
inverse head and shoulders pattern which targets a run at the 7.0 level.
