CHINA STOCKS
CHINA STOCKS: Chinese stocks are seeing some long-overdue outperformance,
particularly relative to the US, with the CSI paring some of its opening losses
to trade down just 0.7%. The Hang Seng is faring worse, down ~2% but finding
some support ahead of the 25000 level.
- The AH Premium Index has gained ~1% as A-shares outperform, snapping a two
week trend of underperformance.
- Chinese equity outperformance remains a likely pre-requisite for a recovery in
the yuan, which has seen some gains following the Chinese equity open. USDCNH
trades back down at 6.9583 as the pair reverses earlier gains, down ~0.25% on
the day.
