There should be notable market interest in activities of the House of Commons around 1130GMT (0630ET, 1230CET) today as Leader of the House Jacob Rees-Mogg presents the business of the House for the week ahead.

  • All eyes will be on the timing of the UK Internal Market (UKIM) bill, which could give an indication of whether the gov't believes a trade deal with the EU is a likely prospect before year-end.
  • UKIM bill has caused consternation in Brussels (and Washington D.C.) due to clauses that would see the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement overridden in order to avoid a customs border between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.
  • If the UKIM bill (or indeed the Taxation bill) is put forward it could be a sign of an increased probability of no deal being reached.
