CPC Halted Loadings At Terminal On 19 Feb On Storm

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal has halted operations on 19 Feb amid storms in the region, it said.

  • Kazakhstan may temporarily halt its crude supplies to the terminal, where loadings have been suspended due to storms, people familiar with the situation said.
  • Previous halts to shipments have forced the country to temporarily curb its oil production.
  • Reservoirs at the terminal are nearly full amid halted loadings.
  • An oil tankers last moored at the terminal more than four days ago according to ship-tracking data. All six tankers that loaded CPC barrels after 15 Feb are still anchored near the terminal.
  • Exports from the terminal were previously halted on 7 Feb because of a storm in the region.
