Crude in Floating Storage Fell to December Low

The amount of crude oil held around the world on tankers that have been stationary for at least 7 days fell by 389,000 bbl to 74.1m bbl as of 13 October, the lowest since December, Vortexa data show via Bloomberg.

  • Asia Pacific down 10% w/w to 38.23m bbl; lowest since December
  • West Africa up 72% w/w to 15.30m bbl; highest since March
  • Middle East down 23% w/w to 4.83m bbl
  • Europe down 44% w/w to 2.75m bbl; lowest since March
  • US Gulf Coast down 60% w/w to 689.00k bbl
