CZKPLN Testing 0.1850 Resistance

CEE FX
  • CZKPLN has been testing its 0.1850 resistance in recent days after trending higher in December amid CZK strength.
  • The PLN is the most vulnerable currency among the CEE region: rising covid uncertainty, FX loan settlements, sharp flattening of the yield curve are additional risk factors that could impact the zloty in the medium term.
  • On the other hand, the aggressive CNB tightening should continue to support CZK against major crosses.
  • Hence, momentum on CZKPLN could continue in the near to medium term.
  • Key resistance to watch on the topside stands at 0.1857, which corresponds to the pair’s all-time high reached in November.
