Danske Bank Don't Expect Much From The ECB Today, Still See Shallower '24 Cuts Than Market

STIR

Ahead of today’s ECB meeting Danske Bank write “we do not expect any significant statements from ECB and the meeting is not expected to have much impact on the market, but there is as always focus on the press conference. We expect President Lagarde to confirm that the next policy rate change is most likely a cut, which may happen in summer. We still only expect 3 cuts of 25bp in 2024, while the market has 5 rate cuts of 25bp.”
