DOLLAR-THB : USD/THB showed at its best levels in 9 months as EM currencies took
a hit on the back of the worrying pace of Covid-19's spread outside of mainland
China, G20 FinMin's communique highlighting risks from the epidemic & reports
that the pathogen's incubation period might be longer than prev. thought. The
baht showed muted response to local data, with customs trade balance swinging to
an above-forecast deficit, underpinned by better than exp. imports and exports. 
- Thailand's Constitutional Court moved to dissolve the pro-democracy Future
Forward party, ruling that its members breached financing regulations. This was
good news to the ruling coalition, which yesterday secured an additional
parliamentary seat in a by-election. All ahead of a no-confidence debate against
PM Prayut & his five ministers, which kicked off today.
- The rate changes hands +8 pips at THB31.73 at typing. Bulls look at the May 22
high of THB32.03 as their initial target, with the THB30.11 Apr 25 peak layered
just above there. Bears would like to see a retreat under THB31.30, Feb 7 high.
