CANADA DATA REACT, DOLLAR-WON
DOLLAR-WON: USDKRW last trades 2.5 figures lower around 1079.50, after weekend
reports suggested that the US & South Korea have reached an agreement on trade &
steel tariffs, while Yonhap reported that North Korea has agreed to inter-Korea
talks later this week.
- From a technical perspective the aggressive reversal of failures around the 21
& 55-DMAs resulted in a close above the daily bear channel top off Sep highs
hinting at a move targeting the 2018 high (1098.4). Bears now look for a close
below the 21-DMA (1072.6) to ease bullish pressure and return focus to
1059.5-1063.4 & below this region to pressure 2018 lows (1054.7)
