Nothing to really add to our early comments re: JGBs, with the curve holding the bull flattening move and futures consolidating their overnight gains as of the lunch break.

  • Local headline flow remains light, outside of comments from Chief Cabinet Sec. Matsuno, who played down the need for any fresh-COVID restrictions, unless any future COVID wave is worse than that witnessed around the spread of the Omicron variant.
  • 30-Year JGB supply headlines the domestic docket, with results due early this afternoon.
