ECB Net Asset Purchases Accelerate Despite Steady PEPP

ECB

ECB net asset purchases picked up in the week ending Jun 4 to E24.0bln (from E15.4bln previously), though net PEPP purchases were only slightly higher. The acceleration was due to net gains in PSPP, Covered Bonds, and CSPP - each of which shrank the previous week. This is is the 5th week in 6 that net PEPP buys have been between E19-E22bln, indicative of an average monthly pace of around E80bln.
