EdF Starts 102MW Scottish Wind Farm Build

French utility EdF has started constructing its 102MW Stranoch onshore wind farm in Scotland, with operations to begin in 2026, the firm said, cited by Renews.biz.

  • The wind farm will sell some of its electricity under CPPAs with UK retailer Tesco and to firm BAE systems. A third PPA covering the remaining output will be announced soon.
  • The project is expected to be running for a minimum of 30 years and comprises of 20 turbines.
