BOND SUMMARY: EGBs/GILTs: It has been a relatively quiet session in European FI
markets this morning. While the US-Iran fallout continues to fill headlines, CPI
data for Italy and Eurozone did not move the meter.
- Bunds are trading flat on the day. Current yield levels: 2-year -0.625%,
5-year -0.555%, 10-year -0.291%, 30-year 0.243%.
- The OAT curve has flattened slightly with 2s10s 1bp narrower.
- UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Sajid Javid has announced March 11 as the date
of the government budget and has indicated that fiscal policy will be geared
towards supporting struggling regions in the North and Midlands.
- The short-end of the gilt curve has sold off while yields as the longer end
have edged lower.
