EIA US Gas Inventories In Line With Expectations

US Natgas holds onto losses from earlier in the day as the EIA US inventory draw shows in line with market expectations but a larger draw than the seasonal normal.

  • US Natgas MAY 23 down -2.7% at 2.1$/mmbtu
  • The latest EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending 31 Mar showed a -23bcf draw compared to expectation of a -23bcf draw and the 5-year average for this time of year of -9bcf.
  • Total US inventories are still near the top of the five year range at 1,830bcf.
