  • Laggers: Communication Services and Real Estate sectors underperforming in early trade, interactive media and entertainment shares weighing on the former after the open: Google -2.76%, Match Group -2.39%, Meta -0.67%. Investment trusts, particularly Industrial and Office REITs, weighed on the latter: Iron Mountain -3.00%, Camden Properties -2.23%, Prologis -1.83%.
  • Leading Gainers: Materials and Industrials sectors outperformed in the first half, container/packaging shares buoyed the former: Packaging Corp of America +4.23%, International Paper +2.60%, Amcor +2.42%. Meanwhile, transportation shares supported Industrials: United Rentals +3.65%, Fastenal +3.54%, American Airlines +2.81%.
  • The earnings cycle has largely run it's course, but there are a few notable names to still announce: Target early Tuesday, Crowdstrike Holdings late Tuesday, Foot Locker Abercrombie & Fitch, Kroger and Burlington Stores Early Wednesday.
