Eskom To Reduce Load-Shedding Tomorrow Morning

SOUTH AFRICA

South Africa's electricity utility Eskom says in a statement that "loadshedding will be reduced to Stage 3 from 05:00 on Wednesday until 16:00. Thereafter, Stage 4 loadshedding will be implemented until 05:00 on Thursday."

  • The utility says that the reduction in power outages is possible due to "the repairs to the damaged towers from Cahora Bassa in Mozambique," which "were restored to full capacity."
  • Eskom is now scheduled to alternate between Stage 3 and Stage 4 power rationing through the end of Friday, with a further update set to be published as soon as any significant changes occur.
