EU Energy Platform To Launch First Joint Tender In May

The EU Energy Platform will launch its first joint tenders under the Aggregate EU, a new means of demand aggregation and joint purchasing, in May according to the joint statement of the US-EU Task Force on Energy Security.

  • In the coming months, the task force will continue to work on keeping a high level of US LNG supplies to Europe in 2023 of at least 50bcm.
  • Last year, the US exported 56bcm of LNG to the EU, up from 22bcm in 2021 and above the target of the additional 15bcm of LNG deliveries, set by the task force.
  • LNG exports to the EU accounted for 52% of all exports last year.
