EU Gas Maintenance: Norwegian Flows Rise to 4-Week High

Norwegian natural gas supplies to Europe rose to 203.3mcm/d today, the highest level since 25 August, as the large Troll field is returning from maintenance, Gassco remit data show.

  • The 125mcm/d Troll field has restarted from maintenance. Output will be curtailed by 75mcm/d until 22 Sept, by 55mcm/d on 22-25 Sept and by 6mcm/d on 25 Sept until 5 Oct.
  • Several gas and LNG terminals are also currently under maintenance: Barrow North terminal, St Fergus terminal, Gina Krog terminal and Fos Cavaou terminal.
  • Seasonal maintenance on the Norwegian network that delivers gas to the UK’s 30.8mcm/d St. Fergus terminal has been extended by three days until 2 October.
  • Several shorter maintenances at Norway’s gas fields and processing facilities are scheduled to start next week.
