EURO-DOLLAR: EUR/USD bears have struggled for any traction below $1.1200, with
the rate last dealing at $1.1198, just above the session low of $1.1194.
- Event risk during the remainder of the week is an obvious deterrent for large
moves with the ECB MonPol decision, flash EZ PMIs & German IFO survey all due,
but it is also worth flagging the ~EUR3.5bn worth of $1.12 option expiries set
to roll off through the remainder of the week.
- From a technical perspective, the July 9 low at $1.1193 continues to act as
key support.
