EURO-DOLLAR
EURO-DOLLAR: EUR/USD last trades at $1.1336, almost unch. on the day, after
dropping just 3 pips yesterday. Worth mentioning that French FinMin Le Maire
spoke yesterday and noted the worsening global economic environment, with the
Italian recession posing particular concern.
- Bears need a fall below the 10-HMA/50-MMA, 200-WMA at $1.1315/14 before
challenging the 200-HMA, located at $1.1306. Conversely, the initial layer of
resistance is provided by the 21-DMA at $1.1362. A breach of that level would
open up $1.1371, where the rate peaked yesterday.
- EZ highlights today include German CPI, flash PMI data from across the region
and the ECB Jan meeting minutes, ahead of EZ CPI & German IFO slated for Friday.
Elsewhere, ECB's Praet speaks twice today, while Villeroy & Draghi are set to
speak on Friday.
