Extends Losses As Inflation Expectations Fall

Kiwi has extended losses and sits at session lows after 2 Year inflation expectations fell to 2.79% in Q2 from 3.3% in Q1. 1-Year Inflation Expectations sit at 4.28% in Q2 vs 5.11% in Q1.

  • NZD/USD sits at $0.6265/70, the pair is down ~0.5%. The 20-Day EMA comes in at $0.6253, a break through here open the low from May 1 at $0.6161.
  • AUD/NZD is ~0.4% firmer, last printing at $1.0680/90. Bulls target a break of the 20-Day EMA ($1.0722).
