Finland Commissions New FLNG Terminal

LNG

Finland can begin gas deliveries from its new floating LNG terminal at Inkoo according Gasgrid.

  • “We have now got our LNG floating terminal fully up and running and all the required official permits to start commercial operations are in place. Everything has now been finalised and tested”, Gasgrid said.
  • The vessel has an annual regasification capacity of 40TWh and holds around 68,000t of LNG, equal to 1,050GWh of energy.
  • During the commissioning period lasting until 25 Jan, gas will be delivered to shippers who have made a reservation for this lot, as well as to secure Finland’s security of supply.
  • The terminal will not receive LNG cargoes from Russia following a ban by the country’s energy authorities.
  • Gas deliveries will be made to the Baltic states and possibly to Poland through the Balticonnector pipeline.
