AUSSIE BONDS

Futures firmed at the re-open, with onshore participants reacting to the overnight outperformance vs. U.S. Tsys (in the wake of yesterday's underperformance in Sydney hours) and XM's bounce from key technical support in post-Sydney dealing. On the fundamental side, ANZ have become the latest notable name to outline their expectations for the RBA to delay its tapering move come the end of next week's monetary policy decision, which would have provided a light bid. Elsewhere, Victoria's new COVID case count ticked up (176), in line with earlier speculation. Futures sit a little shy of best levels, YM +1.5, XM +4.0.
